Rod is deeply passionate about the great outdoors, embracing activities like hunting, fishing, hiking, and overlanding. This passion for nature is a shared bond with his wife, and together, they have cultivated a love for the outdoors in their four children from an early age. As an empty nester, Rod now spends his time exploring the less-traveled paths of national forests across the United States, seeking out their hidden gems.
Previously a practicing dentist, Rod has since retired from his dental career and now focuses on dental practice transition consulting. His transition has also allowed him to devote more time to serving on various nonprofit boards. Rod brings to the Venture Unknown Foundation board an extensive background in nonprofit management, specifically with 501(c)(3) organizations, where he has honed skills in governance, strategy, and leadership. He is thrilled to lend his experiences and insights to the VUF foundation as it navigates its mission to restore the outdoors!
